If you are expanding your fleet, inspect Corsair recruitment availability. If you need equipment production, check the relevant Jeweller or Master Tailor Compass upgrade. Compare the remaining requirements before spending points; the right route depends on what your save needs next.

Use remaining target divided by net Pearls gained per minute. Net gain means production after consumption and exports, not the output printed on the producer.
For example, an illustrative 120-Pearl target takes at least 10 minutes from empty at a sustained net gain of 12 per minute. At a net gain of 4, it takes 30 minutes. With no surplus, it never accumulates. These examples are arithmetic planning aids, not quest requirements.
Watch your total stock over several minutes before estimating a long wait. Keep some room for interruptions rather than treating theoretical output as a completion timer.
Prevent the output from backing up
